Believing is such a “loaded” word and has a different meaning for many people. “I believe it is going to rain” has a different meaning than “ I believe Santa Claus is real”. The first one is based on observing the clouds, having previous experience to draw a conclusion even if it does not rain in the end, but the second “ belief” is based on purely speculation. I am an “unbeliever” meaning that I do not “ believe” in anything supernatural because that falls under the second category. You might be surprised then when I say: I know (not believe) that UFOs and Near Death Experiences are real and do exist. Why? because they are actually observed and documented many, many times. It is therefor foolish to deny their existence. The problem is that concluding therefor that aliens space ships are the cause falls in the “belief” category and must be dismissed. The same goes for NDEs. These hallucination and interpretations are no “proof” of visits to heaven or hell, outside the point that you have to ask, whose heaven or hell you are talking about. I do not want to go into detail since I have done that extensively in my Book. I just wanted to reinforce that “observations” can be very real, but that the “beliefs” about what these observation mean. lack sufficient proof to be true.
