Critical Thinking

Let’s do some critical thinking about religion without demanding proof or scientific explanations about the existence or not of the typical understanding of an intelligent almighty super being who judges the actions of every human being and the decides whether that being deserves an eternal blissful life or eternal drastic punishment. This God created the universe and populated our planet with life. The majority of these life forms created, were often not very successful and went extinct. The remaining life forms compete with other life forms for survival and compete, kill and eat each other. (the food chain). Also created are many diseases, and imperfections in the offspring. He/she for thousands of years let people create all different kinds of gods without interfering and than decided to finally establish the “correct” religion a few thousand years ago because no one seems to get it right. So now you belong to a relative new religion (say Christian or Muslim) and you find that there are many different versions in your “correct” beliefs.
These are a few observations of reality. Now ask yourself the following questions:

1. Why are the flora and fauna we see so imperfect in ALL life forms, (plants have diseases as well), are they all guilty of sin and need to be punished and denied eternal life?
2. Why is humanity informed of the correct “God” only in the last few thousand years?
3. Why is the information we receive from God not uniformly the same so we don’t have all these different explanations and disputes even in the same belief system?

Now let us answer these questions honestly.  The answer “We cannot understand God’s mysterious ways” is not a viable answer because it avoids logic and common sense and is a cop out.. The short answer “There is no God” is equally unacceptable. If we look at the evidence around us and we assume a conscious being behind it all, it looks like a scientist trying out many experiments to create life and see what works and discarding the failures, keeps going with new experiments forever and hasn’t one perfected yet. Looks exactly what nature is trying to do (evolution?). Now you can call nature “God” that’s fine but that is not the religious almighty infallible god religion espouses, who judges each individual to bliss or damnation. The question, is nature a conscious entity, maybe, maybe not, is therefor moot. Please comment as long as you also use logical common sense answers, not quotes out of Holy books or vulgar language. Having been brought up in a very religious family I have never gotten answers to the above questions so help me out. Practice “Critical Thinking”, not feelings or emotions, when answering.
